ExonHit says ALS study is on track
Posted February 19, 2003 in ALS Research

France's ExonHit Therapeutics has completed patient recruitment in a Phase II trial of its lead compound, EHT 0201 (pentoxifylline), for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.

The 400 subjects have been enrolled within just four months, placing the study on track to report results by the end of next year. EHT 0201 will be evaluated as an add-on therapy to standard treatment with Aventis' glutamate antagonist Rilutek (riluzole). The primary efficacy endpoint will be patient survival and the treatment period will extend for 18 months.
