  ALS fundraiser blossoms
Posted January 18, 2004 in ALS News

America's Flower Man came to Omaha Saturday to help plant the roots for a fundraiser to benefit the local ALS Association.

Nationally known flower expert Dale Rohman, who's appeared on HGTV and The Today Show was at the Champion's Club teaching folks how to arrange flowers.

The event, called Say It with Flowers, helped raise money to help those with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis or Lou Gehrig's disease, and to help find a cure.

"The disease is so deadly, my business partner had the disease, that's how I got involved and having been through it, it's gratifying to be able to help others doing something I love," said Rohman. Everyone who participated got to keep their arrangements.

This was the fundraiser's first year and it will be an annual event for the ALS Association.
