News12 Long Island wins another Emmy Award for their Ride for Life coverage
Posted April 12, 2004 in ALS News

news12_sm.gifWe'd like to congratulate our friends at News12 Long Island for winning an Emmy Award for their coverage of last year's Ride for Life event.

The Emmy, which was for coverage of a continuing news story - 'Ride for Life: Journey of Hope', was presented to photojournalist, editor and producer, Michael DelGiudice and producer Elizabeth Hashagen. News12 Long Island won a total of 12 Emmys this year.

Since Ride for Life began in 1998, News12 Long Island has traveled with us on every annual Ride for Life event. We congratulate the team at News12, not only for their journalistic excellence, but for helping people living with ALS by creating awareness of the disease.

This is the third Emmy Award that News12 Long Island won for their coverage of Ride for Life taking home statues in 1999 and 2000.
