Posted October 11, 2004 in ALS News

The ALS Therapy Development Foundation (ALS TDF) and the Les Turner ALS Foundation invite you to attend ALS 101 on Monday, November 8, 2004. This free seminar for patients and their family members will be held at the Hyatt Regency Chicago (151 E. Wacker Drive, Chicago). The seminar will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.; dinner will be provided.

ALS 101 is designed for patients and loved ones to better understand the basic biology and science of ALS, learn about what goes wrong in the body with ALS, and find out what researchers are focusing on to find effective treatments and a cure. You will have an opportunity to meet both the founder and staff of ALS TDF, ask specific questions about research and treatments and develop skills to sift through information on emerging treatments to help you have productive conversations with your doctor.

To sign up for ALS 101, please contact Molly Brady at mbrady@als.net or 617-441-7249. For more information, please visit http://www.als.net.
