ALS patients are elegible for Medicare coverage

Just a reminder that if you have been diagnosed with ALS you can get Medicare coverage even though you're under 65.
Go to the nearest Social Security Office to apply for Social Security Disability Benefits.
Call 800-772-1213 for an appointment.
You will receive Medicare benefits the first month that you begin receiving a check for SSDI.
It's important to apply with Social Security as soon as possible.
