  New clinic to focus on treatment for ALS patients

Baylor College of Medicine and the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Association will open a new ALS Clinic on Aug. 26.

The clinic will offer a multidisciplinary approach to people affected by ALS, commonly known as Lou Gehrig's disease.

It will be located at Baylor College of Medicine in the department of neurology.

Patients with ALS will receive outpatient treatment at the clinic, according to Dr. Yadollah Harati, professor of neurology at Baylor.

The ALS clinic will provide experts in fields such as respiratory, speech, occupational, physical, psyhco-social and dietary.
