This uplifting video features the highlights of Ride for Life 2004, an annual event in which ALS ride their electric wheelchairs down the highways and through the neighborhoods to raise funds for a cure and create awareness for the disease.

During Ride for Life 2004, ALS patients along with family and friends, traveled for 9 days and over 150 miles from the streets of Manhattan to the shores of Montauk, on the tip of Long Island.

Special thanks to NBC News Today, News12 Long Island, and "Living it Up with Ali & Jack" (King World) for the video clips.

What is a podcast?

A podcast is a web feed of audio or video files placed on the Internet for anyone to subscribe to, and also the content of that feed. Podcasters' websites also may offer direct download of their files, but the subscription feed of automatically delivered new content is what distinguishes a podcast from a simple download or real-time streaming.
