Ride for Life 2011
Ride for Life started in 1998 when a small group of patients rode their electric wheelchairs over 350 miles from Yankee Stadium to Washington D.C. to call attention to ALS and the needs of those living with the disease.
Ride for Life 2011 will begin on Monday, May 9th on Long Island and will conclude on Saturday, May 21st in Manhattan. ALS patients, joined by family and friends, will ride their electric wheelchairs for 13 days to once again call attention the disease and raise funds for a cure.
Over the past 13 years, Ride for Life has raised nearly $2 million dollars to help researchers find a cure and to provide much needed patient services. We need your support so Ride for Life can continue helping people living with ALS.
